At Home--Not Camping

The week started out as usual. The girls went to school. Deb went to teach. I went to my job. We were getting ready for a long weekend with Labor Day coming up. We had planned to go camping with the Browers up Webb Canyon. It had been some time since we went and were looking forward to it. I got off work on Thursday and Friday. I planned on using Thursday to get ready and then be in the canyon that evening. The girls were going to come with us after they got home from school.

All of that changed when Lilli complained of a sore throat. Even though it was not red and she had no fever we sent her to school. When she got to school, she told them about her sore throat and they asked us to come and get her. Deb took her to Health West to get checked for COVID-19. Since she had taken the test, we were told to quarantine until we got the test results back. Test results take about three days so going camping or doing anything this weekend was out of the question.

Since we could not go camping, I set up our canopy in the backyard next to our outdoor fireplace. However, it got really hot so we spent most of the time inside playing games and watching movies. We did make a fire on Saturday and cooked pudgy pies.

Tomorrow is Labor Day. I doubt we will get the results back then. It will probably be Tuesday when we get the results. Hopefully, it will be negative.
